Feedback on Communication and Setup

A focused review built around practical decisions and constraints.

When I contacted Luisafinke for a series of outdoor portraits, the first thing that stood out was how clearly the process was laid out. There was no vague promise of “capturing the moment.” Instead, I received a short email describing the equipment they would bring, the time of day they recommended, and the kind of light they expected at the location.

That level of specificity made the decision easy. I knew I was booking a photographer who understood the constraints of natural light and had a plan for working around them. The setup call took fifteen minutes. We discussed the terrain, the weather forecast, and the number of usable frames I needed for the catalog. No fluff, no upselling.

On the day of the shoot, the team arrived with a medium-format camera and two prime lenses. They spent the first ten minutes walking the site, checking angles and shadows. The session itself was efficient. We worked through the shots in sequence, and they showed me the previews on a laptop after each block. That transparency removed any guesswork.

The final delivery came two days later, with a folder of corrected files and a short note on the color adjustments applied. The images matched what we had discussed. No surprises. For someone who values clear communication and a predictable workflow, this was exactly the right approach.
